Ingredients

• 1 package (14 oz) light caramels (~50)

• 2/3 cup evaporated milk

• 1 package German chocolate cake mix

• 3/4 cup butter, melted

• 1 tsp vanilla

• 1 package (6 oz) chocolate bits

Directions

1. Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and vanilla.

2. Press half of the mixture into greased 9 x 13.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

4. Sprinkle chocolate bits over baked crust.

5. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk (can be done in the microwave).

6. Pour over the chips.

7. Cover with remaining dough and bake for 18 minutes.
